After administrative dissolution: does the registered agent stay on the record?

A state administratively dissolves a domestic corporation or LLC (a missed annual report, no registered agent, an unpaid fee) or revokes a foreign one's authority, and the entity's registered agent is still named on the record. Whether that appointment and the agent's authority to receive service of process continue, end by operation of law, or go unaddressed is a question each statute answers in its own way - and the answer differs by entity class inside a single state. This page reads it across all 54 jurisdictions and four classes, cited to the legislature's own publication of the corporation, LLC and registered-agent acts. Each state's page carries the operative sentence, the state's own status words, the reinstatement window and how an agent resigns after the state's action. What any provider does about such an appointment is its own policy; this page records the state rule only.

Where a section ends the appointment outright

In 7 jurisdiction-and-class pairs the statute terminates the registered agent's appointment or authority by operation of law on the state's action. Everywhere else the appointment continues by the statute's own words, or the statute is silent and the nearest section is stated on the jurisdiction page.

Every jurisdiction, by entity class

The entry is the verdict the cited section supports for that class; the jurisdiction page prints the sentence behind it. Statute is silent is a verified finding that no section speaks to the appointment, not a gap in the record. Nonprofit, LP, LLP and cooperative classes a state's acts resolve separately appear on its own page.
