Entity types

LLC (limited liability company), corporation (for-profit; 'profit corporation' in some states' vocabulary), nonprofit corporation, LP (limited partnership), LLP (limited liability partnership), LLLP (limited liability limited partnership), and professional variants (PC, PLLC). States price and regulate filings per entity type, and the same document can cost different amounts for different types in the same state.
