How to cite incFACTS
Every page on this site ends with a Cite this page block: a plain reference, a legal-style reference and a BibTeX entry, with the page's permanent address, the site version, the data-as-of date and today's date already filled in. Copy the one you need. This page explains what you are citing when you do.
Cite the page for the compilation
incFACTS is a compilation: verified values, their sources, their retrieval dates and their review status, assembled and kept current in one place. When you rely on that assembly - a fee table, a ranking, a filing-office contact set, a state's registered-agent rules in one view - cite the page. Include the version and the data-as-of date, because values change when states change them and the data change log records each change against a release.

Cite the official source for the fact itself
A fee, a deadline or a statutory requirement is the state's fact, not ours. Every verified row on this site names the official source it rests on - the statute section, the agency fee schedule, the form - and links it where the publisher allows. In a filing, a brief or a contract, cite that source and use incFACTS as the finding aid: NRS 76.100(1) (state business license fee), as compiled at incFACTS, https://www.incfacts.com/nevada/. Rows still pending review show no source link on purpose; do not cite them as verified.

Addresses are stable
State records live at /<state-name>/, analysis pages under /analysis/, glossary entries under
/glossary/. Addresses do not change between releases; content does, which is why the version travels with the
citation. The statute-text library (/statute-text/) is a dated capture of public law and is excluded from search
engines; cite the official code publisher for statutory text and use the library as a convenience copy.
Reuse
Facts may be quoted with attribution and a link to the page. Statutory text reproduced here is public law and free to reuse. The compilation, the verification records, the analyses and the glossary are ours; bulk reuse or republication needs permission (about incFACTS). Programmatic access is the API and MCP tier, which returns the same citation fields with every answer.
